Nils Bühler is a master’s student at the Institute of Media Culture and Theatre at the University of Cologne. For his bachelor’s degree, he studied Media Culture Studies, English Literature and the history of the English language. His research focusses on societal and ideological structures in games, censorship of games and media in general, gaming history, and game aesthetics as well as ontology. Further interests include the spatiality of games, inter- and transmediality. The strategy and the simulation genre are his main research objects.
