Jimena Aguilar

Jimena is a journalist and digital content creator originally from El Salvador, who is the manager of international affairs at the ifs internationale filmschule köln, where she oversees advising international students, coordinating student and staff exchanges and manages cooperation with international partner schools and organizations. Additionally, she has also been teaching assistant for History and Theory of Digital Arts. Previously, she has focused on research and practical work around collective memory and hauntings in relation to space through digital media and is currently exploring the subject of collective creation in journalism and non-fiction storytelling. In 2018 she co-founded Alharaca, a Salvadorean feminist news media organization that combines journalism, academia, arts and new technologies to strengthen equality, diversity and democracy in Latin America.
