Nina Kiel
Nina Kiel is a games journalist and game developer from Düsseldorf, Germany. After graduating from the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf and publishing her Bachelor thesis „Gender In Games – Geschlechtsspezifische Rollenbilder in zeitgenössischen Action-Adventures in 2014, she continued her research on body image, gender roles and sexuality in digital games. Her texts were published on Superlevel.de, Zeit Online and fluter.de among others as well as in several magazines and newspapers such as taz – die tageszeitung, GamesMarkt and tv diskurs. As a speaker, she’s a regular guest at conferences, gaming events and barcamps. She recently graduated from the Cologne Game Lab with a master thesis on digital games as tools for sexuality education.
